First-time wax? First-time facial? Here's what to know.

How long should my hair be for a wax?+
For best results, hair should be about ¼ inch long — roughly the length of a grain of rice. If you've been shaving, give it 2–3 weeks of growth before your appointment.
How should I prep before my appointment?+
Gentle exfoliation 24–48 hours before your wax helps lift any ingrowns. Skip lotions, oils, and self-tanner the day of. For facials, come with a clean face if possible — but don't worry if you can't, I always start with a thorough cleanse.
What if I'm on medication or in active treatment?+
Some medications (Accutane, retinoids, certain antibiotics) and treatments (chemical peels, laser) can make skin extra sensitive. Please mention anything you're taking when booking — I'll either adjust your service or recommend waiting. Better safe than reactive.
Will it hurt? Be honest.+
Honestly? Less than you've built it up to be in your head. The first wax is the most intense — by your second visit, your follicles adjust and it gets significantly easier. Facials are pure relaxation, no pain at all.
What's your cancellation policy?+
Please give 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule. Same-day cancellations may incur a fee — full details on the GlossGenius booking page.
Can I bring my child or a friend?+
My suite is private and intentionally quiet, so I ask that appointments stay one-on-one. Quick exception: if you have a sleeping infant who can't be left alone, just let me know in advance.
